Description/Address Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Trust NZ
has been in existence for eight years now,and provides support
to grandparents who are raising their grandchildren on a
full-time basis.Many of the grandchildren have had traumatic
backgrounds and have been removed from broken homes, where
their parents were alcohol and drug abusers and may have
subjected their children to verbal and physical abuse.
The Grandparents become “parents” for a second time while
dealing with the challenges of health problems, legal fees,
and parenting children of a very different generation.
